the alchemist is my favorite book because i happened to read it at a time when ~finding myself~ was important. i've read it at least 10 times since so it's become a kind of comfort book for me. when i first read it, i really liked the philosophy, but as i've grown up reading it i find new meanings and interpretations of it that are always fun. The Alchemist is a novel that speaks for itself, page after page you are mesmerized and inspired through each chapter and begin to reflect on your life. If there was an author I would want to meet it in this lifetime, it would be Paulo Coelho.
